How to use the flashcards system?
First, log in to your account at www.tx2ph.com and click "Flash Cards" in the user menu (if you don't see it in the menu, go to Advanced Options and check the Turn on flash cards checkbox. Click Apply).
Flash cards are organized by two hierarchical levels, "chapters" and "sections", following the structure of a common foreign language study book: you have some thematic chapters, which consist of some texts, grammar information and vocabulary. Vocabulary is usually divided in groups ("sections"), like "numbers", "at the grocery store", "useful phrases", etc. By organizing your flash cards in chapters and sections you'll be able to chose a particular set of words to study.
After entering your words, log in to your account with your cell phone (at wap.tx2ph.com -- note that the flash card system only works in WAP mode). Chose flash cards in the start menu. Then you'll be offered to chose a chapter you wish to study (or "all" to work through all chapters). There's also "search" option, which allows you to search through your flash cards, acting as a mini dictionary (well, mini or not depends on how many words you enter ;)).
After selecting a chapter, you'll be promted with a list of sections in the selected chapter (if you have chosen All chapters, this screen will be skipped), where you, again, can either chose a particular chapter or all of them.
Next, chose working mode: either show the foreign language word first, letting you remember the corresponding word in your language ("Regular"), show the word in your language first ("Backward"), or "Random" -- in which mode the language will be selected randomly.
After choosing the working mode, you'll be shown virtual flash cards within the selected chapter and section. Following the flash cards are these links:
"Turn over" -- shows the corresponding word in another language,
"Knew it!" -- mark this word as known, so it won't show up in the next cycle,
"Didn't know :(" -- mark the word as needing a few more expositions to memorize it,
"Enough!" -- return to the main screen.
Once you go through all words in selected chapter(s), the cycle will start again, but the words you've marked as known won't be shown.
